I keep forgetting

I don't think I've ever mentioned my hair vitamin regime in this space. I'm not sure how in the world I overlooked that very important tidbit, especially since my last post was about growth. (duh!)

But, there's no time like the present, so...

...here's the skinny...

Since June 7 of 2006, I have taken 2 GNC UltraNourishHair pills with lunch every weekday. Back then when I started, I still had a relaxer. The growth was very noticeable. I used to get touch ups every 5 weeks, and once I started with the pills my new growth would be outrageous by touch up time. And I think I started to see results after about a month.

It's been a year now & it's not as easy to mark the growth since I'm not getting relaxers anymore. But I can certainly see the amount of growth at different times... like when I had the twists, it was easy to see the line where the color ended & my natural color began. In a lot of areas it was kind of like half & half. I can also tell when I wash my hair, because it totally lays down now when I'm washing it. The finger-combing process is a little more involved now than it was 2 months ago. And this past weekend, I went around different sections of my hair and just did a basic length check. Some parts measured slightly longer than my index finger, and others (mostly in the very back) were about as long as my pinky finger. One day I'll come up with a better way to mark the length.

For now, suffice it to say that it's growing. Oh, and the pills help.

Oh my Goodness. I too take vitamins. It all started when I was flipping through an issue of Town & Country magazine. They had an article on Phyto vitamins. I am a sucker for a persuasive piece so I priced them. They can be purchased at places like Nordstrom and Sephora. So I went there and found they were like $48 so I found what the makeup was of the vitamins and came with my own special blend.

Maybe this is why my hair is growing as well. Oh and probably because I don't care about how long it grows.

Do they have Biotin in them? 'cause that's really all you need to grow hair. And plus I massage the scalp every day and use some Rosemary EO and Pepperming EO (more on that in a few weeks - I'm on a mission!).
